Dignity Memorial

As cremation rates continue to rise in the U.S., many families are moving away from traditional burial while cemeteries quietly fall out of the conversation. We saw an opportunity to help Dignity Memorial reframe remembrance after cremation and reposition cemeteries as meaningful places for connection, ritual, and return across diverse cultural beliefs and grieving styles.

DIGNITY MEMORIAL

integrated campaign | Death Care

As cremation rates continue to rise in the U.S., many families are moving away from traditional burial while cemeteries quietly fall out of the conversation. We saw an opportunity to help Dignity Memorial reframe remembrance after cremation and reposition cemeteries as meaningful places for connection, ritual, and return across diverse cultural beliefs and grieving styles.

Shifting a conversation this personal required more than a single message or channel. It demanded an emotionally intelligent, integrated approach designed to meet families with care wherever they were in their journey.

Grounded in behavioral science and the psychology of loss, we created a national campaign ecosystem exploring how families process memory, ritual, and place. The system equipped staff with shared language and practical tools to support families with empathy and clarity, whether planning ahead or navigating immediate loss.

Built to scale across nine pilot markets and more than 140 locations, all campaign assets were developed in both English and Spanish.

Through strategic storytelling and educational content, the campaign expanded awareness around cremation memorialization and repositioned Dignity Memorial cemeteries within the modern grieving experience.
